My Vision
Hi! I'm Lewis Norton. Having spent the last 15 years perfecting my craft, I began to pursue a career in music education in 2019, with a desire to share my knowledge of modern music and its ever-changing industry. Through delivering high quality DJ workshops in schools and music hubs across the South-East, as well as offering personal tuition, my primary focus is to help young people channel their creativity through DJing and music production.
Active Professional
Since signing my first record to an established label in 2015, I have progressed to release music across several international labels under my brand - S9. I have performed at venues and festivals in the U.K and internationally and just recently surpassed 2m streams on Spotify, thanks to various editorial playlist features and top DJs supporting my tracks.
Important Life Skills
Learning to DJ or produce music requires patience, vision and determination. These skills are transferable to all aspects of life and with encouragement catered to each individual, my students develop one of the most important attributes of all... SELF-CONFIDENCE
Sharing My Experience
From managing DJ bookings to reviewing and negotiating publishing and recording contracts, my knowledge of the industry is adept. With my help and guidance, many of my students have gone on to publish mixes online, receive their first bookings and release tracks on recognised labels.
Online Learning
The covid pandemic opened the door to remote working. Through utilising online services like Zoom, I am able to adapt my tuition to be flexible in an ever changing world. Using free DJ software apps such as Rekordbox, I can offer sessions to anyone online with a smart phone, tablet or laptop.
